Now that we know both the Xbox Series X and PlayStation 5 are slated to launch this November, game publishers and developers can now officially announce when next-generation titles will go live. On September 29, Take-Two announced that NBA 2K21, which has already launched worldwide on the Xbox One and PlayStation 4, will be released worldwide for the Xbox Series X and PlayStation 5 this November as well.
The NBA 2K Twitter account announced in September that the Xbox Series X version of NBA 2K21 will launch worldwide on November 10, the same day that the console will be released. NBA 2K21 will launch on November 12 for the PlayStation 5, which is also the same day the PS5 will be released in some parts of the world. Those countries that will have access to NBA 2K21 on November 12 are as followed:
- United States
- Canada
- Mexico
- Australia
- New Zealand
- Japan
- South Korea
NBA 2K21 for the PlayStation 5 will go live on November 19 for the rest of the world. Remember that should you want to play NBA 2K21 on the Xbox Series X and PlayStation 5, you will either have to buy the Mamba Forever edition, which includes current and next-generation versions of the game. Or, you can buy the regular next-generation version of NBA 2K21, which is currently available for pre-order. However, the next-gen edition of the game will cost $69.99, $10 more than the current-gen version.
