Ronaldo is reportedly about to sign for top Saudi soccer club Al Nassr in a golden deal that will net him around £175m a year. This will make him an ambassador for Saudi Arabia’s bid to host the World Cup in 2030, following in the footsteps of David Beckham, who controversially promoted Qatar in this year’s final.

Al Nassr targeted the legendary forward after his contract with Manchester United was terminated earlier this month slating the club in his interview with Piers Morgan.

Cristiano Ronaldo house in Saudi Arabia: Where will he live

Cristiano Ronaldo and his family will enjoy a life of luxury in the sun if he moves to Saudi Arabia to become one of the most high-profile residents of the Islamic country. The Portuguese striker will receive a warm welcome from the desert kingdom’s rulers who are desperate to make Saudi Arabia more attractive to Western visitors.

The football legend and his family are expected to live as ex-pats in a Western compound or palace, largely cushioned from the Conservative country’s strict Islamic laws. The complex includes an Olympic size pool and reception lobby with waterfall features and three additional villas on its grounds.

The areas is close to Al Nassr’s 25,000-seat stadium at Mrsool Park, formerly known as King Saud University Stadium, and feature a host of high-end indoor arenas built for Western residents. Many have their own swimming pools, preschools, shops, clinics, gyms and restaurants, meaning residents hardly have to leave.

Ronaldo’s anticipated arrival follows determined efforts by Saudi Arabia’s Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman to modernize his country and soften its hardline international reputation.
